Legacy Carpenters is a fully insured, family owned and operated business. Owners Russell and Vicki Chilton have long roots in the San Antonio area.
Russell is a fourth generation carpenter who has been working in the San Antonio area for over 30 years. Having grown up in Canyon Lake and graduated from Smithson Valley High School, he cut his teeth in the carpentry industry working with his father and leading crews building dozens of homes in Canyon Lake while still a teenager. His work is visible all over South Central Texas--he has taken part in the restoration of many of the historic homes in the King William area, has remodeled high end homes throughout San Antonio's finest developments, and has been contracted for numerous custom doors, windows, and curved stairways at some of San Antonio's most historic buildings. He also worked in the building industry as an estimator and sales representative for large millworking companies on the east coast, deepening his experience in the woodworking industry. His accomplishments include the creation of a custom pool table with hand carved linen fold paneling, viewable in the photo gallery, and trusted relationships with San Antonio's finest designers and remodelers.
Russell also lends his attention to detail and passion for the craftsmanship of days gone by to the classic car hobby. He is a longtime member and recent officer in the Hudson, Essex, Terraplane Club and is the proud owner and restorer of two 1952 Hudson Hornet convertibles, a 1952 Hudson Hornet sedan, and a 1968 Ford Custom Cab Pickup. He also built a custom 1932 Ford Dearborn Deuce Convertible.
The entire Chilton family and Legacy Carpentry team look forward to bringing their passion for quality craftsmanship to all your woodworking projects.
